EASTERN ALABAMA RAILWAY (EARY)
The Eastern Alabama Railway (EARY) is a short-line railroad constructed in 1883 and operates from Talladega, AL to Sylacauga, AL. Although this railroad operates over 31 miles of track strictly in Alabama, it provides an integral transportation corridor interchanging with CSXT at Talledaga and the NS at Sylacauga. In doing so, the reach for customers to and from this Alabama region is extended throughout North America.
The major commodities moved on the EARY are limestone, urea, paper and corn syrup. Over 15,000 cars move over the EARY yearly primarily of the commodities listed.
