TEXAS NORTHEASTERN RAILROAD (TNER)
The Texas Northeastern Railroad (TNER) operates west from Bonham through Bells to Sherman, TX and east from New Boston to Texarkana, TX. The interchange points for the TNER are at Texarkana and Denison, TX and it operates as a handling carrier for Class I carriers. Partnerships with the UP, BNSF and KCS provide the TNER with an extension of its reach throughout North America for the customers that are served. The TNER serves The Red River Army Depot at Defense, TX located just west of Texarkana, TX.
Major commodities for the TNER are coal, military equipment, wheat, and polyethylene. Over 10,000 cars moved over the TNER tracks in 2008 making it an important corridor for our customers.
