THREE NOTCH RAILROAD (TNHR) Acquired by RailAmerica in April 2011, the Three Notch Railroad (TNHR) operates over 34 miles of track southeast from Georgiana, AL to Andalusia, AL. The TNHR interchanges with CSX at Georgiana and handles approximately 1,050 carloads per year. Major commodities that travel over the TNHR include chemicals, polypropylene, fertilizer and agricultural products. A short line railroad with a direct connection to a Class I carrier, the TNHR helps link local communities in Alabama to the national railroad network and to the economic benefits that flow from that network.
