SAN DIEGO AND IMPERIAL VALLEY RAILROAD (SDIY)

The San Diego and Imperial Valley Railroad (SDIY) is a short-line railroad located in Southern California and provides a link between the Class I BNSF Railway and the CZRY in Mexico. The SDIY handled almost 6,000 cars over its tracks in 2010.

Major commodities that SDIY transports are Propane, Petroleum Gases, Corn Syrup, Malt and Woodpulp. This link into Mexico is an important corridor for the customers that the SDIY serves.

When working within the railroad right of way or for personal use of grade crossings applicants are required to obtain and provide proof of Railroad Protective Liability Insurance.
