- Must have a working knowledge of and be familiar with various types of
tools and equipment such as, but not limited to, welders, torches, hammers,
jacks, and various types of other mechanical, pneumatic, and hand tools

- Two years of vocational training or prior railroad experience, or four
years related experience in the automotive or track equipment field preferred.

repairs, and overhauls.
- Advises and cautions operators and mechanics about potential electrical
problems and inherent dangers involved.
- Notifies supervisor of potentially dangerous electrical equipment noted

- May be part of a mechanical team on major installations, working with other
